Project 3: Usability Testing tool design

COntext setting

Casebook PBC is a platform for human and social services workers. It’s comprised of a family of integrated apps. Casebook’s solutions are the response to frustration among human services professionals and leaders who have struggled with antiquated information systems. I experienced this first-hand during my many years as a case manager and therapist.

Challenge

The challenge was to design a self-guided usability testing tool inspired by UserTesting.com. The goal was to create a tool to allow for quick testing of designs for displaying suggestions to compliment our auto-completer on the Casebook platform. The second goal was to have a tool for future self-moderated usability studies.

Next steps

• The project was temporarily paused after the usability testing was conducted due to roadmap reprioritization. Analysis and synthesis of the research data will hopefully resume shortly.
